While it is no longer possible to create a new Enduring Power of Attorney since the Lasting Powers of Attorney were introduced in 2007, an Enduring Power of Attorney which was executed prior to October 2007 remains valid and can still be registered.
If a loved one has apponted you as an attorney under an EPA and they are no longer capable of managing their affairs, then you can still apply to register the EPA with the Office of the Public Guardian. Ross Coates Solicitors offer a registration service on a competitive fixed fee structure.
Appointing a Power of Attorney can involve a complex legal process. If you require information and advice regarding Powers of Attorney, Probate or Wills, please contact Stephen Broughton on 01473 621800 or email@example.com
