Our expertise

Divorce and Separation

Back

We offer a free half hour consultation at either of our Ipswich offices, or Kesgrave or Framlingham. We are the only solicitors in the area offering this service. Also, for those who cannot readily get in to see us, or who are not local, advice is given on the telephone

Another very popular service is our fixed fee divorce scheme. On the whole, most people would rather know what it is going to cost them from the outset where possible. Acting for a Petitioner with children is £600 plus VAT and court fees. Acting for a Petitioner without children is £500 plus VAT and court fees. Acting for a Respondent with children is £300 plus VAT and court fees and acting for a Respondent without children is £250 plus VAT. The Court fees are £340 and are set by the Court.

We have now gone one step further and are able to offer a fixed fee divorce on-line scheme. Many people have difficulty taking time off from work or getting away from the children to be able to go and see a solicitor. It is now possible to instruct us on-line so that we can deal with your divorce through to the end without the need for any direct meeting. This means that we can also act for people, not only nationwide, but worldwide too. For further information, click on the link to the right 'Divorce on-line'.

For those who are not able or ready to commit to divorce yet, we can assist by preparing a Separation Deed which can include matters such as when you will divorce, arrangements for the children and any financial agreement reached. It is important on separation to formally record such matters. For further information, click on this link - Finances.

We can deal with all issues surrounding divorce and separation, including children disputes, financial and property arrangements, and domestic violence.

We also offer advice and assistance with:-

  • obtaining parental responsibility
  • other family matters including judicial separation, nullity and dissolution of civil partnerships.
  • wills
  • buying, selling and transferring property.
  • As will be seen, we go the extra mile to make an emotionally difficult time, as convenient, affordable and easy as possible.

We also pride ourselves on being experienced specialist lawyers who are professional, friendly and approachable.
