Occupation orders can be obtained that define occupation rights in the home, including the exclusion of the other party from the home or an area around the home. Such orders are obtained by taking civil private proceedings against the person. However, the police should still by the first port of call as they can arrest the offender and put in place bail conditions that offer the same protection.
The Harassment Act makes it possible for the police to arrest people who have committed two acts of harassment. These laws were brought in initially to help with stalkers but they can assist will all incidents of harassment.
Again, these actions are led by the police. However, often where unpleasant behaviour
has begun, it can help for a solicitors “warning” letter being sent to put a stop
to harassment. We can assist regardless of the person causing the harm -
We can also deal with all issues surrounding divorce and separation, including children disputes, financial and property arrangements, as well as obtaining parental responsibility, other family matters including judicial separation, nullity and dissolution of civil partnerships, wills and buying, selling and transferring property.
